Description

A must read for anyone serious about the spiritual growth

Far from piquing unhealthy curiosity or meddling in superstition, Fr. Ermatinger provides the reader with a completely practical and altogether encouraging guide for growing in holiness. Ermatinger does this by weaving together Catholic doctrine, relying heavily on St. Thomas Aquinas, with writings from St. John of the Cross, and other saints renowned for their knowledge of the spiritual life. He proves that ignorance of the devil's role in the spiritual life is not an option, and is in fact quite dangerous, and that only a correct understanding of the devil's role will allow a soul to grow and mature in their love for Christ.
Brilliant, clear, relevant, and informative

Brilliant, clear, relevant, and informative. The devil's favorite tactic of staying hidden is thoroughly unmasked here as Ermatinger deftly notes the devil's activity in our daily lives, showing how, where and why he is so effective in misguiding us from our eternal home. I looked, but didn't see (of course...) a review from Lucifer, but I expect he wouldn't this even rate one star.
